The Man Behind the Wheel of Operations
“Halos 14 na taon na ako sa industriya,” Sir Benson shares proudly. “Ang trabaho namin, nagsisimula pa lang bago pa umandar ang truck. Tinitiyak naming kumpleto lahat mula sa dokumento, piyesa, hanggang sa kondisyon ng unit at ng driver.”
At the Guiguinto Branch, Sir Benson leads a close-knit team of seven: a driver-mechanic and several drivers who handle deliveries across the country.
Their process begins at the port, where imported trucks first arrive. Before entering the pier, the team gears up with complete PPE—hard hats, safety vests, and shoes.
“Hindi lang ito dahil sa requirement,” he explains. “Ginagawa namin ‘to para sa kaligtasan namin at ng mga tao sa loob ng pier.”
Once inside, the team carefully inspects each unit, checking tires, batteries, lights, and accessories. They assemble parts like side mirrors and taillights, ensuring every truck is in perfect condition before they roll out.
After securing the necessary gate passes, the trucks are officially released and transported to Autokid’s Guiguinto branch for a final quality inspection. There, every detail is rechecked, from paperwork to performance, before the delivery route begins.
Across Islands, Through Every Challenge
“Minsan, umaabot kami hanggang Davao, 1,500 kilometers ‘yun, tatlong araw na biyahe,” Sir Benson recalls. “Pero kahit gano’n kalayo, sinisiguro naming maayos ang unit pagdating.”
The Guiguinto team has handled some of the longest and most demanding routes in the country, delivering nine minibusses to Tacloban in a single day, and five more units to Cagayan de Oro right after. Each trip presents its own challenge, from long hours to unpredictable weather.
“Kapag masama ang panahon, humihinto kami muna sa pinakamalapit na Autokid branch,” he says. “Hindi kami nagmamadali. Mas mahalaga ang kaligtasan at kalidad namin at ng unit.”
And once they finally reach the client’s location, their responsibility continues.
“Hindi lang namin basta iniiwan ang unit,” he adds. “Tinuturuan namin ang kliyente kung paano ito gamitin nang tama at ligtas. Tinitingnan din namin ang mga dokumento, at sisiguraduhin naming lahat ay kumpleto bago kami umalis. Gusto namin, nakangiti sila pag-alis namin.”

“Dahil sa trabahong ito, napupuntahan ko ang mga lugar na dati sa TV ko lang nakikita,” he shares. “Davao, Cebu, Siquijor, ang gaganda pala ng mga lugar na ‘to.”
He recalls their trip to Siquijor, where the team delivered an Autokid tractor.
“Maliit ‘yung isla pero ang daming turista. Ang ganda ng dagat. Iba ‘yung pakiramdam na nakakarating kami sa ganitong lugar, dala pa namin ‘yung produkto ng Autokid na makakatulong sa kanila.”
Each delivery, for him, is not just about moving trucks; it’s about moving progress, one community at a time.
