“Dahil po dito, pinagtibay po natin lalo ang ating programa laban sa rabies at ang pagkakaroon po ng responsible pet ownership” Dr. Villaflor added

During the turnover ceremony, Dr. Renee Anselmo Villaflor, Municipal Veterinarian of Mauban, highlighted the importance of the new Animal Control Vehicle in strengthening the municipality’s anti-rabies initiatives. He explained that the daily collection of stray dogs remains a vital responsibility under the Anti-Rabies Act, helping reduce the spread of rabies while preventing accidents caused by stray animals.

“Ito pong unit na ito maaari rin po natin itong mapakinabangan sa pagdadala ng ating mga serbisyo sa ating nasasakupan, lalo na sa mga kanayunan, partikular ang ating mga veterinary medical mission, kapon at ligate sa mga alagang aso’t pusa, na dinadala natin sa mga malalayong barangay ng ating munisipalidad.”
Dr. Villaflor also expressed his gratitude to Mayor Erwin Dwight C. Pastrana and Vice Mayor Alwin Sardea for supporting the acquisition of the new Animal Control Vehicle. He emphasized that the investment will further strengthen Mauban’s Rabies Prevention and Control Program while enabling the Municipal Veterinary Office to deliver better veterinary services to more communities across the municipality.
