In many developing towns across the Philippines, progress isn’t measured only in numbers; it’s measured in paved roads, functioning health facilities, and job opportunities for the community. But for remote municipalities like Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, the lack of heavy equipment and logistical resources has long made these goals difficult to achieve.
Now, that story is changing. In a remarkable move to fast-track local infrastructure and service delivery, the Municipality of Tagbina has officially acquired 14 brand-new heavy equipment units from Autokid Mobility Solutions, marking a strong step toward inclusive growth and sustainable development. Watch more about it here.
Mobilizing Tagbina’s Commitment to Progress
The ceremonial turnover and blessing of the fleet was led by Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanate and attended by local officials, Autokid executives, and members of the community. These newly acquired units include:
✅ Five 10-Wheeler Dump Trucks
✅ Garbage Compactor
✅ Class 3 PUV
✅ Water Tanker
✅ Two Drum Rollers
✅ Two Motor Graders
✅ Excavator
✅ Wheel Loader
“This is one of the priority projects of our administration. This equipment will be used to maintain our roads, build our hospital, expand it, and construct our municipal park,” said Mayor Polizon-Lanate during the ceremony.
“We’re grateful for the support and presence of Autokid today. This is a promise fulfilled—for better roads and faster services for our people.”
Transforming Vision into Action
With these units now ready to operate, the local government is poised to tackle long-standing issues in road connectivity, public infrastructure, and disaster response. These machines are not just assets, they’re tools for transformation.
“This is a manifestation of our commitment to improve lives in the countryside,” Mayor Polizon-Lanate continued. “With better roads and facilities, we can create jobs, deliver better services, and strengthen our healthcare and emergency response.”
The impact is expected to reach deep into barangays, providing both economic stimulus and employment opportunities for locals, especially in the construction and maintenance of public projects.
